My Sweet 16

Happy Birthday to my dear firstborn, Kristina!
I am more than blessed to have a daughter as sweet as her. She truly has a heart for others all brought about by her relationship with the Lord.

Kristina has always been a very adventurous funny girl... not afraid to be herself and has a love for Tiki men!

Where did time go?
I remember lying on my back tossing her about on my feet up in the air while we laughed and watched Sesame Street...
Where did time go???
She always had her hand in mine and reminded me to pray for others.
I would think... "how wonderful to have this child by my side...
it will be years before she's even in school...
we have all the time in the world together."

Many of you may have children my daughter's age, perhaps older, and very likely.... younger. I want to encourage you to enjoy your time with your little ones. Life can get so busy, and before you know it, years have gone by.
Take time to be silly with them. Get on the floor with them and view things from their perspective, because all too soon they are looking at you eye to eye, or perhaps they may even pass you up! Seize the moments you have and enjoy those blessings in your life.

Yes, on ocassion I still sing it to her! Actually, it's not uncommon for me to break out in song during the day, so pardon my silliness... but one of the things that my children always tell their friends is that their mommy has a special song for them :0) and that makes me so happy!!!

I am thankful for...

There is so much in life to be thankful for.
Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite holidays and it's right around the corner!
So I thought I'd share a few of my "favorite things"over the next few days that I am thankful for.. and possibly make it my theme for the upcoming season for Ollie Girl!


Here they are about 8 years ago! My 3 precious blessings. Children have a way of changing you. Sure they are a lot of work, but their love and companionship is the best~! I have to have atleast one of them with me whenever I head out for my errands. It's so fun to have that one on one time with them and have lots of heart to heart.
Aren't they cute atop my husbands old GMC and the Liquid Amber tree in the background! This has to be one of my favorite pictures :0)
I'll post again tomorrow, now it's off to work I go!

10 years ago....

I was a double stroller pushing mama with one at my side. Where did the time go? I am sure I was stressed out here, but looking back at this photo I looked quite content! This photo is now on my refrigerator as a sweet reminder to me to be content in every season of life, and yes... take off about 25 pounds! LOL

I hope you are seizing the moments you have with your loved ones.
It hard to believe that I am nearing my 35th birthday, have an almost 16 year old daughter, 12 and half year old daughter and a 10 year old son!
One thing hasn't changed here though...
My unchanging God loves me just the same! :0)

Cinderella's Pumpkin Coach & Pineapples :0)

I wanted to share with you all some exciting photos we captured in our garden the other day. First of all, our pumpkin ... and it's humble beginning ;0) Actually it's bigger today, but I thought I'd share with you what our pumpkin looks like right before it's bloom falls off.
We have never grown pumpkins before, so as you can imagine this is quite exciting!!!

And yes, this is a pineapple plant! It's hard to believe that all you need to do to grow a pineapple is cut off the top of an existing one and stick it in the ground to root! But it is really that simple! In the background, a vibrant orange bloom from our pumpkin vine.


Well.. this is my exciting news for the day :0) Many of you know that I am working on filing custom orders, so my new designs are sparce. I will be listing some items this coming Sunday for Poppy Streets Holiday Traditions Launch.
